Job Overview

Under the guidance of the Mechanical Team Lead and reporting to the Production Coordinator, the Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembly of electrical panels, enclosures, and electrical assembly of materials handling equipment projects. The assembler will interpret manufacturing information documents to mechanically assemble or modify components, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Build and troubleshoot complex assemblies using drawings, schematics, and process plans.
- Use fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, adjust, or repair products.
- Review mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and make necessary adjustments.
- Follow Eaton 5S Processes for material maintenance and inventory management (replenishment system).
- Actively support EPC Safety, 5S Processes, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Maintain work areas in a clean, orderly, and protected manner, including returning tools to designated areas.




- Report to the Team Lead and the Mechanical Team Lead on work‑related activities on a regular basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting fabrication and wiring teams when necessary.

Work Hours & Compensation

7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. / $21 per hour

Required Qualifications

- Completion of high school or GED equivalent.
- A diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering is considered an asset.
- Ability to lift heavy materials.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Skills

- 1 year of experience in assembly or repair of products in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience testing electrical control assemblies.
- Combination of education and experience.
- Forklift/overhead crane certification.
