What is the opportunity?
The Senior Manager, Physical Security Technology plays a critical role in leading our enterprise physical security technology program across 25+ countries. In this role, you will oversee the deployment, lifecycle management, and strategic direction of our video surveillance (CCTV), intrusion detection, and physical access control systems.

Your expertise in physical security technology management, vendor partnership, and enterprise systems will directly contribute to protecting RBC's employees, clients, and assets from evolving threats.

What will you do?

Lead the deployment, lifecycle management, and strategic planning of enterprise physical security technology systems globally (CCTV, intrusion detection, physical access control) across 25+ countries.

Manage vendor relationships and partnerships for physical security technology solutions.

Establish technical requirements and standards for physical security technology implementations, ensuring consistency and compliance across global deployments.

Oversee the configuration, integration, and optimization of security technology systems to ensure operational effectiveness and alignment with enterprise architecture.

Leverage AI and advanced video analytics capabilities to optimize security workflows, enable proactive threat detection, and generate actionable insights to inform strategic business decisions.

Monitor emerging physical security technologies (drone detection systems, security robotics, frontier AI applications) and evaluate opportunities to enhance our security posture and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Lines of Business, Facilities, IT, Corporate Security Management, Investigative teams) and external partners to design solutions that address emerging security threats and operational needs.





Monitor system performance, security controls, and technology processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and enterprise policies.

Manage metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives to demonstrate program effectiveness and ROI.

Conduct technology reviews and provide strategic guidance on security system improvements and operational enhancements.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

5+ years of proven experience in technology systems management or related fields. Experience in physical security technology with demonstrated expertise in CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, or integrated security systems is preferred.

Understanding of system hardening, certificate management, and HTTP concepts.

Technical proficiency with physical security technology platforms and enterprise systems; strong understanding of system architecture, integration, and lifecycle management.

Vendor management: Experience establishing standards, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing third-party installations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.

Solid understanding of security risk mitigation strategies and ability to translate technology solutions into practical, sustainable implementations.

Experience conducting technology reviews,



and delivering recommendations for improving security systems and operational performance across the physical security infrastructure.

Ability to recognize security vulnerabilities and respond to technology incidents with sound technical judgment.

Nice-to-have

Post Secondary education from a recognized college or university, preferably in the areas of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cyber Security, Network Engineering or related field.

Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-country technology deployments with expertise in standardization and global operations.

CPP ‘Certified Protection Profession’ or PSP ‘Physical Security Professional’ designation from ASIS International.

Background in application support, Security Operations Center (SOC) or endpoint management.
