About the Role
Pre-Sales (70%) : We're seeking a talented Technical Sales Engineer with deep expertise in Snowflake to support our sales organization in driving new business opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who loves client-facing work, can clearly articulate product value, and enjoys collaborating closely with account executives to close complex deals. As a key member of the Technical team, you'll provide technical guidance, deliver engaging demos, answer product questions, and ensure that Snowflake's platform aligns with each prospect's needs.
Post-Sales (30%) : In addition to enabling the Sales team, the Technical SE will be responsible to own projects, end-to-end, from pre-sales, to design, implementation, and Go Live.
Principal tasks and responsibilities
Own it! Partner with Sales to support prospects through the entire sales cycle, from initial discovery to technical validation, design, implementation, and go-live.
Lead and tailor product demonstrations based on customer use cases and technical requirements
Deliver compelling, solution-oriented messaging to both technical and non-technical audiences
Conduct early-stage technical discussions to uncover needs and position Snowflake appropriately
Address product-related inquiries and objections with clarity and confidence
Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless transition post-sale
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Snowflake's data platform capabilities, integrations, and roadmap
Assist in creating technical collateral, architecture diagrams, and proof-of-concepts when necessary
Qualifications and pre-requisites
5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar pre-sales technical role
Hands-on knowledge of Snowflake's platform - ideally with experience designing or supporting Snowflake-based solutions
Strong understanding of cloud data architecture, SQL, ETL/ELT, and modern data stack technologies
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a consultative, client-first approach
Proven ability to influence buying decisions by articulating value and solving business problems with technology
Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote sales environment
Based in Canada, able to support clients across Canadian time zones
Preferred Qualifications
Snowflake Certification (nice to have):
Snowflake Technical Sales Professional Accreditation
Experience with competitive platforms (BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, etc.)
Experience working in enterprise software or data platform sales cycles
Additional information or perks
Target base salary of $160,000 to $180,000 CAD , plus performance-based bonus
