Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Senior Advisor, Regulatory Compliance Oversight , you will provide enterprise-wide regulatory complianceexpertiseto ensure compliance risks are effectivelyidentified, assessed, and managed across Vancity and Vancity Investment Bank. You will interpret complex regulatory changes,providepractical guidance to business partners, oversee implementation activities, and support the ongoing enhancement of compliance frameworks, policies, and controls. This role plays an important part in helping the organization make informed decisions while fostering a strong culture of compliance and risk awareness. We areseekinga highly analytical compliance professional with strong regulatory knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders across a complex organization
This is a Full-time, Permanent role and will report directly to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance Oversight .While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Providing regulatory compliance advice and recommendations to support effective management of compliance risk across Vancity and Vancity Investment Bank
Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on the effectiveness of the enterprise regulatory compliance framework
Reviewing new and amended legislation and regulations to assess applicability and organizational impact
Developing plain-language summaries of regulatory changes and communicating requirements to business stakeholders
Overseeing the implementation of regulatory changes and ensuringtimelycompliance with applicable requirements
Developing and enhancing enterprise policies, procedures, controls, and compliance oversight processes
Providing analytical support and recommendations for compliance and operational initiatives and projects
Supporting the delivery of enterprise compliance education and training programs to strengthen compliance awareness and culture
Providing technicalexpertise, consultation, and guidance to compliance teams, risk owners, and business stakeholders
Collaborating with cross-functional partners toidentifyregulatory risks and support effective risk management practices
WhatYou’llBring to the Team:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, Law, Risk Management, or a related field
Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, audit, governance, or financial services compliance
Strong knowledge of financial services regulations and regulatory frameworks, including experience interpreting legislative and regulatory requirements
Experience assessing regulatory impacts, developing compliance guidance, and overseeing implementation activities
Demonstrated experience developing or enhancing compliance programs, controls, policies, and procedures
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and recommend practical solutions
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear business guidance
Experience delivering compliance training, education, or awareness initiatives
Professional designation or certification such as CRCM, CAMS, CIA, CPA, LLB/JD, or equivalent is considered an asset
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
Experience working within a federally or provincially regulated financial institution
Knowledge of regulatory bodies and frameworks such as BCFSA, OSFI, FCAC, CASL, FIA, or the Bank Act
Experience supporting enterprise-wide compliance transformation or regulatory change programs

WhatYou’llEarn:
This role offers a salary range of $96,600 to $125,100 per annum . The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills,previousexperience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
