Position Summary
The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Plant Manager. The role is responsible and accountable for creating and executing production work plans, ensuring products are produced safely at the specified quality standards. The Supervisor focuses on resource allocation (people, tools, equipment) to meet production schedules and fulfill internal and external customer requirements while modeling corporate values.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, regulations, and company HSE policy.
Lead, coach, and mentor staff while enforcing Plasti‑Fab systems, policies, and procedures.
Provide appropriate supervision to achieve efficiency targets, material utilization, quality, and safety; report all variances.
Represent Plasti‑Fab professionally to internal and external customers.
Identify and propose improvement opportunities to encourage continuous improvement.
Create and execute daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans, deploying the right resources safely.
Ensure accurate production data capture (LiveLink, shipping, receiving, quality, compliance, etc.) meets customer and company requirements.
Represent the area in daily production, operations, and safety meetings.
Promote a respectful and dignified work environment.
Develop employee performance, training, reviews,
and advancement plans with support from Supervisor and HR.
Support the Team in achieving SMART objectives and action plans.
Proactively work with internal customers and suppliers (scheduling, HR, maintenance, etc.) to mitigate risks and achieve planned work.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment with organized work areas.
Ensure work specifications are complied with and sign-offs on final quality checks are completed per Plasti‑Fab/customer standards.
Accountable for operational and functional safety, quality, and production requirements.
Working Conditions
Must be physically fit with full range of motion to perform work, including standing for long periods.
Shift work, overtime and weekend work will be required.
Qualifications
Secondary school diploma or degree with an emphasis on Construction, Logistics or Operations.
E.T. certification an asset.
2–4 years of relevant experience with a proven track record of success.
Solid computer skills including Windows, Word and Excel.
Experience in the EPS industry is an asset.
Standard First Aid and CPR training.
JHSC Certified Member training.
Valid driver’s license.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with customers and sub‑contractors.
