Wework with proactive clients who understand the importance of having exceptionalstaff.Partner Staffingon behalf of our Client, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Substation Civil Engineer to join our Calgary-based team. This role involves leading the civil and structural design of high-voltage substation projects (69kV to 500kV), including site grading, foundations, structural steel, and control building design. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge, solid leadership abilities, and a proven record of delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget.RequirementsKeyResponsibilities:Lead the civil/structural engineering design for substation projects from conceptual design through construction.Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications related to:Structural steel supports and equipment structuresSite grading, drainage, and access roadsCollaborate closely with electrical, protection & control, and geotechnical engineers to ensure interdisciplinary alignment.Perform site assessments and support construction through RFIs, field reviews, and issueresolution.Coordinate with clients, utilities, contractors, and regulatory bodies throughout all project phases.Mentor and provide technical oversight to junior engineers and designers.Ensure compliance with applicable codes (CSA, ACI, NBC, etc.), standards,
