This 18-month term role supports the ongoing development of the Safety & Health program within the Winnipeg School Division. Key responsibilities include investigating safety issues, conducting inspections, and offering workplace training. You'll also maintain programs like WHMIS, Asbestos Management, and develop job hazard analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in safety and health investigations across the Division
• Inspect schools for compliance with safety regulations
• Provide training on various safety topics
• Maintain WHMIS, Asbestos Management,
and Lock-out programs
• Develop job hazard analyses and safe work procedures
Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Safety & Health
• Five years in the Safety & Health field
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of current safety regulations and building maintenance
• Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation preferred
