We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team composed of electrical and mechanical engineers, technicians, and technical designers.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of new electrical and automated test cell systems supporting the development of new turbogenerator programs. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects and collaborate with various engineering disciplines to deliver advanced testing solutions.
This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil , and performed exclusively on-site.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Lead the research, development, design, and validation of electrical equipment and systems while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure business objectives, requirements, and technical specifications are achieved.
Represent the organization at meetings, committees, conferences,
and cross-functional team activities to present, explain, and defend technical recommendations, findings, negotiations, and agreements.
Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and other technical professionals.
Ensure compliance with established engineering standards, methods, and quality requirements.
Analyze technical requirements, capacity, costs, and customer needs to determine project feasibility.
Design electrical and/or automated components, software, products, and systems.
Develop implementation schedules and manage project budgets to ensure delivery within agreed timelines and costs.
Lead and coordinate the manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, operation, and modification of electrical and automated systems and equipment.
Oversee the implementation of new technologies and ensure their successful integration across systems.
What do you need to be successful?
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering.
Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
Experience programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley).
Experience programming HMIs (Wonderware InTouch).
Knowledge of databases and industrial networking.
Knowledge of instrumentation and measurement systems.
Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code for buildings.
Bilingual in French and English.
Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
