Job Description
In collaboration with IT and business teams, the Business Intelligence Analyst designs, develops, and evolves modern analytical solutions to support the organization's strategic decision-making. They leverage the capabilities of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and artificial intelligence to transform data into high-value indicators.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with business partners to understand needs, define performance indicators, and deliver relevant Power BI dashboards;
Design, develop, and maintain high-performing, scalable, and well-structured data models;
Ensure data integration, transformation, and orchestration using Microsoft Fabric (Dataflows, pipelines, Lakehouse);
Integrate and reliably manage multiple data sources (SQL Server, Snowflake, Excel, API, etc.) ensuring data quality, consistency, and governance;
Leverage artificial intelligence and advanced analytics capabilities (Copilot, automation, predictive analytics) to optimize analyses and certain processes;
Continuously optimize the performance of Power BI reports and models and automate report production when relevant;
Support users in adopting Power BI and document developed solutions, both technically and functionally;
Contribute to the evolution of BI practices, data governance,
and the responsible use of AI within the organization.
Qualifications
University degree in computer science, business intelligence, or a related field;
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, including the development of analytical solutions;
Solid understanding of data modeling principles, modern architectures (Lakehouse, ETL/ELT), and data warehouse concepts;
Excellent proficiency in Power BI, Power Query (M), and DAX, as well as valuable knowledge of SQL;
Experience with Microsoft Fabric and cloud data environments (e.g., Snowflake);
Ability to analyze complex business needs, demonstrate creativity, and propose innovative and adapted solutions;
Excellent communication skills, collaborative spirit, rigor, autonomy, and organizational sense;
Excellent command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and demonstrated ease with collaborative digital tools and AI (e.g., Copilot). Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies;
Fluent in spoken and written French and English*
A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will frequently communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues and partners in Quebec, elsewhere in Canada, and internationally.
