Job Description
Do you have experience in stress analysis, have you worked on aircraft structures and do you want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!
The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Stress Analysis Engineer – Damage Tolerance (m/f) to join our aerostructure design office team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will study the structural integrity of components.
The team organization is established to promote autonomous cross-functional collaboration, supporting each other and learning collectively.
Your role as a Stress Analysis Engineer – Damage Tolerance will be to analyze the damage tolerance of primary structural elements (PSE).
Requirements
Your challenges:
Perform damage tolerance analyzes on primary structural elements (PSE)
Provide recommendations on design and repair concepts for aircraft structures
Develop fatigue spectra
Perform damage tolerance analysis validations with experimental results
Support the development of the maintenance manual in collaboration with the technical publications and maintenance engineering groups.
Collaborate with suppliers, ensure compliance with the program's methodology and technical requirements
Review supplier reports and analyzes
Prepare certification reports
Your profile:
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
You have at least five (5) years of experience in stress analysis of metallic aircraft structures, mainly as a specialist in fatigue and damage tolerance of airframes
Knowledge of software such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, NASGRO, CATIA V5, MS Office and Google Suite is mandatory
Previous work experience on an aircraft development or in-service support program, including certification, would be an asset.
Knowledge of non-destructive inspection (NDT) techniques would be an asset
You have a robust sense of responsibility, integrity and are a team player
You have good communication skills
You must be able to read and communicate in French and English
