Overview

This role is hands‐on and suited for a machinist, millwright or tool and die maker who enjoys variety — moving confidently between CNC programming, manual machining, on‐site assembly, and complex tooling work. We value energetic professionals eager to learn, grow, and make a tangible impact through manufacturing mastery. We are willing to train to fill in any knowledge gaps.

Key Responsibilities

CNC Machining

- Set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes for high‐accuracy components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and machining instructions.
- Optimize toolpaths, feeds, and speeds for efficiency and surface finish.
- Perform in‐process inspections to maintain tight tolerances.

Manual Machining

- Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses for one‐off parts, repairs, and custom modifications.
- Fabricate components that require hands‐on precision or rapid turnaround.
- Fit, deburr, and finish parts to exact specifications.

Machine Building (On‐Site)

- Assemble mechanical systems, frames, tooling, and custom machinery at customer locations or in‐shop.
- Install machined components, align assemblies, and verify mechanical function.
- Work with maintenance teams and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Perform on‐site adjustments, machining, or modifications as required.

Mould Making

- Manufacture mould bases, inserts, cores, cavities,

and precision tooling components.
- Work with plastics, aluminum, and tool steels for injection moulding applications.
- Assist with mould repairs, refurbishing, and fit‐up.
- Ensure all mould components meet dimensional, surface, and functional requirements.

Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining processes including CNC programming and operation
- Proficiency with Fanuc controls for CNC machines
- Skilled in reading blueprints, technical drawings, CAD files, and SolidWorks/Fusion 360 models for accurate part production
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers for quality control checks
- Basic math skills essential for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances
- Knowledge of welding techniques and assembly processes is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Experience with forklift and crane operation preferred but not required; certification is a plus
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement in production workflows

What This Role Offers

- Diverse, hands‐on work across machining, tooling, and machine building.
- Opportunities to work on custom projects and specialized equipment.
- A role where craftsmanship, precision, and mechanical creativity are valued.
- Flexible schedule
- Opportunity for career development
