Become a vital part of Sioux Lookout’s new dental clinic as an Oral Health Assistant. This full time position demands expertise in clinical duties and adherence to safety protocols while enhancing community health services.
As a member of the Oral Health Services Department, you’ll support dentists and hygienists in a dynamic clinical environment. The role focuses on fostering strong relationships with clients while managing daily operational tasks such as taking radiographs and maintaining cleanliness. Adherence to IPAC protocols is critical in upholding client care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support oral health team in all clinical procedures
• Perform radiographic imaging under safety guidelines
• Prepare equipment and manage inventory efficiently
• Uphold patient confidentiality and care standards
• Address client inquiries and assist with treatment plans
Requirements:
• Level II Dental Assisting Program certification preferred
• Familiarity with dental management software is a plus
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Willingness to obtain First Aid and HARP certification
• Ability to communicate effectively in Indigenous dialects an asset
