Hatch’s Project Delivery Group is looking for a Structural Engineer to provide critical engineering services for various mining projects. You will engage in the complete project lifecycle, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the engineering team. This position emphasizes sound design practices and meticulous project management, especially for underground structures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager on project requirements
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and provide support during design reviews
• Prepare engineering calculations and supervise junior engineers
• Create technical specifications based on multidisciplinary inputs
• Contribute to monthly engineering status reports and manage project scopes
Requirements:
• Accredited degree in civil/structural engineering and professional registration
• Over 7 years of engineering experience in mining projects
• Experience with Staad Pro; knowledge of Mathcad/SAP 2000 beneficial
• Effective planning and interpersonal skills to oversee project tasks
• Independent worker with a commitment to safety and quality
