Job Description

If you are a seasoned Solutions Architect with expertise in high-volume eventing and messaging systems, this role within a leading financial institution's digital channels team is perfect for you!

Our Client's digital channels team is focused on delivering innovative solutions for Canadian digital banking platforms.

This critical team supports multiple projects related to digital customer experiences and requires someone who can provide strategic architecture guidance while supporting business-as-usual initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in solutions architecture with specific expertise in Clienture Cloud, Kafka/Confluent Cloud, and high-throughput eventing systems.

They should have experience within the financial industry and be proficient in delivering cloud-first architectures that meet enterprise standards.

As a key member of the architecture team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining architecture frameworks that support efficient, reliable, scalable, and secure solutions. You will work with various stakeholders to evaluate and recommend optimal solutions while ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and security requirements.

Responsibilities
Primary Purpose of the Role

Develop and maintain respective architecture framework/solution that supports the most efficient, reliable, scalable, and secure solutions to meet business needs and technology strategy

Plan, evaluate, recommend and design architectural solutions in compliance with enterprise standards

Contribute to, design and/or develop an architecture framework including technology domain architecture strategy, policies, guiding principles and standards

Architecture & Design

Work with CoE partners and other Architects to understand security standards, risks and ratify solution security design

Research/analyze business requirements to evaluate and recommend optimal solutions within technology architecture

Review project detailed solution architecture and design ensuring it meets requirements and complies with architectural and security standards

Provide sign-off on detailed design





Provide expert consultation and participate as a subject matter expert on projects of moderate to high risk and complexity

Project Delivery & Governance

Contribute to the development of project plans by providing input and manage projects/initiatives by directing assigned resources

Communicate project status and provide timely escalation of issues

Work with Technology Systems Analysts to develop a Requirements Traceability Matrix to ensure end-to-end traceability

Build consensus and facilitate collaboration and decision-making within/across business units

Ensure projects are compliant with technology domain architecture and design/operate processes

Comply with well-defined enterprise technology delivery practices and standards and project management disciplines

Strategy & Compliance

Support the development, documentation, communication and execution of a comprehensive strategy, policies and solutions

Conduct pre and post implementation reviews, ensuring all technical solutions have met business requirements

Contribute to and/or develop the process by which decisions will be made regarding technology standards

Protect/enhance the security, availability of technology, brand integrity and shareholder value

Identify enhancements and gaps in architectural frameworks, standards and patterns

Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with emerging industry trends

Leadership & Collaboration

May develop and/or contribute to negotiations of third party contracts/agreements

Participate in knowledge transfer with senior management, the team, other technical areas and business units

Work effectively as a team, supporting other members in achieving business objectives

Act as a lead expert resource in the exchange of architectural information for project teams

Generally reports to Senior Managing Architect or above

Required Skillsets

Clienture Cloud: Strong experience with Clienture Cloud services and architecture, including design, implementation, and management of cloud solutions.

High-Throughput Eventing/Messaging Systems:



Experience designing and tuning high-volume eventing and/or notification/messaging systems with understanding of scalability and performance optimization.

Kafka / Confluent Cloud: Strong experience with Apache Kafka and Confluent Cloud for event streaming and messaging architectures.

Solutions Architecture: 10+ years of experience in solutions architecture with expertise in designing scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.

Financial Industry Experience: Experience working within the financial services industry, understanding of banking systems and regulatory requirements.

Cloud-First Architecture: Experience in delivering cloud-first architectures with understanding of cloud-native design patterns and best practices.

Enterprise Standards Compliance: Ability to design solutions that comply with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and governance frameworks.

Technical Leadership: Solid communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to work independently and provide expert consultation on complex projects.

Project Management: Experience contributing to project planning, managing initiatives, and directing assigned resources while communicating project status.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Ability to build consensus and facilitate collaboration across business units to ensure consistent application of IT strategy.

Preferred Skillsets

AmClienton Connect: Experience with AmClienton Connect for cloud-based contact center solutions and customer engagement platforms.

AWS/GCP Cloud Platforms: Experience with AmClienton Web Services (AWS) and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in addition to Clienture Cloud expertise.

Digital Banking Channels: Experience with Canadian digital banking channels and customer-facing technology solutions.

Education
Bachelors degree required, Graduate degree preferred
