The Opportunity: We are seeking Red Seal Heavy-Duty Mechanics for our Lalor Mine. Lalor Mine is a high-grade, producing underground mine located near Snow Lake, MB. It is a major, long-life operation primarily producing Zinc, Gold, Copper, Silver, with ore processed at the nearby Stall and Current Britannia Mills.
Schedule: The successful candidate will work on a 7on/7off (Thursdays-Wednesdays) schedule rotating nightshift/dayshift. Please note this is not a FIFO opportunity, employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Snow Lake. To support you, we offer a fully equipped camp and a quarterly travel allowance.(some restrictions apply)

Responsibilities: Inspects job and determines nature and extent of repairs, methods, materials, tools, etc. exercises judgement in the selection of materials and tools, and in methods so that job is performed in accordance with accepted safety standards.
Trouble shoots, plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, low voltage direct current, electronics and pneumatic principles, trade techniques, properties of various materials and operating and application principles of equipment.
Interprets prints or sketches and makes installation or repairs as specified.
Installs and repairs mechanical equipment such as compressors, pumps. generators, fans, mobile and fleet, drilling,



loading and haulage equipment
Directs apprentices in securing tools and indicates work that apprentices are to do.
Recommend system and parts modifications, repair or replacement, changes in materials
Follows specifications on complex equipment diagrams, parts drawings and catalogs.
Repairs and rebuilds engines, hydraulic and electric systems of diesel, electric, propane, gasoline and pneumatic powered equipment.
Repairs and rebuilds transmissions, traction motors and differentials.
Observe all policies and procedures, observes applicable quality, environmental, safety and hygiene regulations.
Qualifications: Must be a Red Seal Journeyperson
Experience in mining is preferred but not necessary
Compensation Package: $48.50/hr plus additional underground production bonus, weekend and night shift premiums
