Lifecycle Maintenance Cost Engineer What You Will Do *
As a member of the Lifecycle Maintenance Cost Engineering team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining Direct Maintenance Cost models covering all P&WC; engine families. These serve as the foundation for new engine program business cases, commercial offerings to customers, parts planning and product improvements.
By applying your product knowledge, you will evaluate part durability for new and active engine programs to maintain associated cost models. This is accomplished by studying large datasets and linking the results to engine operations and physical hardware findings. You will investigate the reasons for parts replacement and collaborate across the organization to optimize recommendations. Your findings and recommendations are thorough, well explained, support key strategic business decisions, and you will present them to key stakeholders.
What your day to day will look like?
Analyze in-service data using internal databases to forecast parts replacements and their costs throughout the product life cycle.
Review technical and commercial documents to gather relevant information on engine maintenance requirements.
Monitor the durability, reparability and price of components and inform key program stakeholders to ensure that engine programs meet maintenance cost targets at entry into service and throughout the engine life cycle.
Collaborate with engineering, customer program, product cost, finance, marketing, business development teams and other key stakeholders to analyze relevant data and assumptions, while ensuring alignment of the technical and commercial strategy.
Contribute actively to the development of customer maintenance plans and commercial offers.




Prepare and submit the required documentation for aftermarket reviews of engine business case analyses, marketing proposals, PPH proposals, Estimates at Completion (EAC) and financial assessments.
Identify and investigate cost reduction and gross margin improvement opportunities to maximize contract profitability, in partnership with the cost governance teams.
Ensure the proper functioning of the department’s processes, tools, training, data, etc., and maintain consistency across programs through CORE methods.
Qualifications You Must Have *
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience OR
Master's degree with minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience
Aeronautical or mechanical, or equivalent degree is preferred
Strong Engine and MRO knowledge
Engine maintenance and field experience
Key Competencies: Highly organized and structured work methods
Comfortable analyzing large datasets
Basic understanding of computer programming
Interest and grasp of financial concepts
People and communication skills
Attention to detail, highly curious
Project management skills
Bilingual French/English is an asset

On-site: Employees who hold in office positions will work primarily at the plant. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as these employees are essential to the development of our products.
Hybrid:



Employees in hybrid roles will work regularly on-site and off-site. The ratio of on-site working time will be determined in partnership with your future manager.
Remote: Employees who work remotely will primarily work from home. If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss the on-site presence associated with this position.

Requires extensive management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams.
Generally requires: A university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience OR a graduate degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience.
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, unless prohibited by local laws and regulations.
