This role plays a critical role in shaping the bank's strategic direction and ensuring its long-term success. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the executive committee, this role leads the HR function to attract, develop, and retain top talent, align HR strategies with business objectives, and foster a culture of excellence, diversity, and inclusivity.
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the bank's goals and objectives. Collaborate with the CEO and executive committee to drive organizational transformation and growth.
- Talent Acquisition and Management: Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the bank attracts and retains top talent. Implement effective onboarding, development, and performance management programs.
- Compensation and Benefits: Design and manage competitive compensation and advantages programs. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and market trends.
- Employee Relations and Engagement: Foster a positive work environment and employee engagement. Address and resolve employee concerns while promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion.
- HR Policies and Compliance:
Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures in partnership with the Parent Bank. Stay updated on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Learning and Development: Identify training needs and implement programs for employee skill enhancement. Support leadership development initiatives.
- Change Management: Lead HR initiatives related to organizational change and ensure smooth transitions and employee integration during periods of change.
- HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilize HR analytics to make data-driven decisions and measure HR effectiveness.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the HR budget effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant HR experience.
- Extensive HR leadership experience, ideally in the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
