Job Title: Transport Refrigeration Technician (Truck & Reefer Units)
Location: Canada

Job Summary:
We are hiring experienced Transport Refrigeration Technicians to handle troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of refrigeration systems used in containers, trucks, and trailers. The role requires hands -on expertise in maintaining and servicing reefer units and auxiliary power units (APUs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair transport refrigeration systems on containers, trucks, and trailers
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of refrigeration units
- Use diagnostic scanners, electronic testing equipment, and onboard computer systems
- Repair and replace defective components, including leak testing (Freon) and system recharging
- Carry out installation of new refrigeration units on trucks, trailers, containers, and vans
- Perform soldering, welding, and assembly of refrigeration components
- Attend to operator complaints and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Maintain accurate service records and follow shop orders
Salary: $37 per hour | 40–44 hours per week
Requirements
- Diploma/Certificate in
Mechanical Trade or related field
- Ozone Depletion
Certificate (mandatory)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Trade Certification
(required upon arrival)
- Must have own tools
with storage
- Minimum 5 years of
experience in transport refrigeration
- Hands -on experience
with reefer containers is mandatory
- Solid knowledge of
refrigeration systems, diagnostics, and repair
- Ability to lift 50–75
lbs (with or without assistance)
- Comfortable climbing
ladders up to 8 feet
- Ability to kneel,
squat, bend, and push/pull as required
- Willingness to work in
conditions involving noise, heat, cold, wet, and slippery environments
