You will join a multidisciplinary team of electrical and mechanical engineers, technicians, and technical designers working on the development of new electrical and automated test cell systems that support next-generation engine development programs.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in a collaborative setting while working in a hybrid model in accordance with public health recommendations.
This is a full-time position based in Longueuil, Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours and performed exclusively on-site.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Lead the research, development, design, and validation of instrumentation equipment and systems while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure business objectives, requirements, and technical specifications are achieved.
Represent the organization at meetings,
committees, conferences, and cross-functional project teams to present, explain, and defend technical recommendations, findings, negotiations, and agreements.
Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and other technical professionals.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, established methods, and quality requirements.
Analyze technical requirements, capacity, costs, and customer needs to determine project feasibility.
Design electrical and/or automated components, software, products, and systems.
Develop project implementation schedules and manage project budgets to deliver work on time and within agreed costs.
Lead and coordinate the manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, operation, and modification of electrical and automated systems and equipment.
Oversee the implementation of new technologies and ensure their successful integration into existing systems.
What do you need to be successful?
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
Experience with aerospace communication standards.
Working knowledge of CAN bus, ARINC, and UART communication protocols.
Experience performing measurement uncertainty calculations.
Strong understanding of measurement principles, including pressure, temperature, vibration, flow, and related instrumentation.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
Versatility and adaptability.
Bilingual in French and English.
This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
