Arcadis Environmental Specialist – Manitoba

The role is a full‑time position within our Environmental Restoration group supporting power and energy, freight rail, and industrial projects from a technical standpoint.

Responsibilities

- Lead client and regulatory correspondence and interactions.
- Evaluate data to develop conceptual site models for environmental investigations.
- Delineate the nature and extent of contamination, evaluate and implement remedial alternatives, and modify or optimize remediation and monitoring programs as needed.
- Write and review technical reports; train, coach, and mentor staff on consulting best practices and business growth goals.
- Identify opportunities to develop a strong professional profile through conference presentations, publications, and participation on technical committees.
- Prepare specialist elements of bids to support high‑quality, winning proposals.
- Serve as a visible steward of Health & Safety by completing required stewardship goals and modeling H&S; practices.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering or closely related field; advanced degree (MSc, MEng) preferred.
- 10 or more years of relevant science experience, including leadership of the development and implementation of specialist solutions.
- Professional accreditation (e.g., PGeo, PEng)

- Detailed knowledge of national standards and codes of practice, including applicable provincial and federal regulations.
- Excellent technical writing skills; able to produce complex reports.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $112,000–162,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
