A well-established litigation law firm is seeking a Junior Associate Lawyer with 2–5 years of litigation experience to join its growing team. The successful candidate will manage a variety of personal injury and insurance defence matters, including motor vehicle accidents, accident benefits, long-term disability claims, premises liability, and related civil litigation files.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, correspondence, legal briefs, memoranda, and other court documents.
- Attend client meetings, mediations, examinations for discovery, and other litigation proceedings.
- Manage files from intake through resolution,
including settlement negotiations and trial preparation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- 2–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury and/or insurance defense.
- Excellent legal drafting, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
