In this vital role, you will be the technical backbone of our Data team, focusing on ownership of infrastructure practices and developer experience across the Data Business Unit. Your deep understanding of ML/AI workload requirements and product mindset will facilitate effective communication with engineers and non-technical stakeholders alike.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver infrastructure improvements using IaC
• Own data infrastructure for batch and streaming workloads
• Lead cross-team architecture discussions and reviews
• Mentor and raise operational practices for SREs
• Identify and mitigate risks during complex data migrations
Requirements:
• Deep GCP expertise in compute, networking, IAM, GKE
• Proficiency in Terraform for IaC
• Experience with Looker and ML/AI tools
• Proficient in Bash and Golang; Python is a plus
• Ability to communicate trade-offs to technical and non-technical teams
