Role: Security Engineer – Cloud Security & Architecture

Title: AVP

Location: Montreal, QC(Day 1 Onsite/Hybrid) – Fulltime

Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite required

Required Experience: 5+ years

Role Overview

The Security Engineer will play a critical role in strengthening the organization’s cloud security posture across all infrastructure and applications. This role is responsible for executing security architecture assessments, integrating cloud‑security platforms, enhancing configuration baselines, and ensuring that vulnerability scanning and cloud‑logging capabilities are fully embedded into firmwide processes. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in cloud security engineering, hands‑on tooling integration, and a strong understanding of modern security architecture patterns.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Security Architecture

- Conduct comprehensive
security architecture assessments
for cloud applications.
- Identify design gaps, misconfigurations, and potential vulnerabilities; recommend mitigation strategies aligned with industry best practices.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure secure‑by‑design principles are embedded into application and infrastructure development.

Cloud Security Tooling & Integration

- Lead the
integration of Wiz
into cloud environments to enhance visibility, vulnerability management, and configuration governance.
- Extend Wiz’s
detective controls
to the Enhanced Zone (EZ), ensuring alignment with updated configuration baseline requirements.
- Maintain and update
configuration baselines
to incorporate EZ standards across all cloud accounts and workloads.
- Implement and operationalize
vulnerability scanning tools
, ensuring findings are routed into firmwide remediation workflows.

Cloud Logging & Security Operations Enablement

- Enhance cloud log collection pipelines across AWS/GCP/Azure environments.
- Integrate cloud logs into
standard firm systems
to support Security Response Teams with timely, actionable insights.
- Ensure logging, alerting, and monitoring controls meet internal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- 5 years of experience in cloud security engineering or security architecture.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure security services and best practices.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud‑security platforms (Wiz, Prisma, Lacework, etc.).




- Experience implementing vulnerability management workflows and integrating findings into enterprise processes.
- Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR platforms and cloud logging pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with engineering, DevOps, and security operations teams.
