What were looking for We have an exciting opportunity for an engineer with a focus on numerical modelling of ship structures (especially naval surface ships and submarines) to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The role Work with a team of skilled engineers delivering innovative solutions to a range of client challenges with a focus on the maritime environment (naval, marine, and offshore) Provide consultancy services at a senior specialist level in areas relating to the structural analysis of vessels using finite element software.

Deliver agreed upon project scope of work on time and on budget Contribute to, and prepare, technical reports and scientific publications Provide clear and concise communication with clients and internal/external stakeholders Build relationships with internal and external clients, take a practical approach in assessing complex problems, and help build the business Participate in proposal development and business development activities Take personal responsibility for delivering own goals and targets, without requiring significant supervision Pursue Continuous Professional Development while maintaining a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness.

Manage own development, seeking opportunities for self-development.

Maintain registration as an Engineer-in-Training or Registered/Licensed Professional Engineer with Engineers Nova Scotia or other Canadian professional engineering association What you bring A minimum of a bachelors degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar.





Eligibility for a Personal Security Clearance with the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD).

Drivers license Significant experience in structural engineering, with a focus on maritime structures/vessels.

Experience in the use of finite element codes and other numerical modelling tools for the analysis of structures.
