Job Title Windows & Active Directory Enterprise Advisor Type: Permanent, Full Time Position Location: Toronto, ON Overview: Our client is seeking an Active Directory expert to work as part of their Infrastructure Services team in Toronto, ON.

The role will be responsible for designing, defining and architecting Active Directory in the Enterprise.

This is a multi faceted position that requires solid expertise in Active Directory.

The resource will be the dedicated ''go to'' Active Directory person in the Infrastructure Services team.

The successful candidate will have a solid background in Microsoft technology, understand, implement and manage the Microsoft licensing process for the organization as well as provide training to various sites on the use of licensing activities.

Role & Responsibilities: Infrastructure Strategy/Architecture/SME: -Active Directory (Design, define, architect) -Server OS: Windows Server -Desktop OS: Windows Desktop OS Virtualization: -Life Cycle Tools: System Center Configuration Manager -Monitoring Tools: System Center Operations Manager -Service Desk/Identity Management: Web Proxy: -MS ISA and McAfee Webgateway Browser: Internet Explorer (IE) Productivity Suites: -Server/Desktop/mobile device Networking: -Server/Desktop/mobile device Security: Windows Governance:



-Optimization of the Windows Infrastructure and maintain the health of Active Directory -Define and support Windows AD strategy and consistency -Define architect and solution design for the Company Active Directory -Windows & AD 2nd& 3rd level support for external (outsourced) and internal, remote sites/regional teams (for all items above) -Microsoft licensing process: -Device/User count and validation (servers and workstations) -Ensuring appropriate licensing for those devices/users -Define process, policies and best practices -Provide support to projects -New business development planning -Site integrations/closures -Provide technical coaching and training to sites & regional teams Required skills -8 years of experience as a Sr.

Server Administrator -Experience architecting and designing Active Directory -Strong written/verbal communications and presentations skills -Degree/Diploma in Computer Science with MCSE certification -Strong skills and experience managing: DNS, WINS & DHCP; Domain and forest configuration; Site and services; Domains and trust; Active directory maintenance -Extensive AD troubleshooting and recovery expertise -Experience working with Group policy object Management & desktop engineering -Robust Networking and security background skills -Experience with Microsoft management tools: SMS, SCCM, SCOM -Experience conducting ADRAPs with MS -Familiar with MS licensing compliance options -Experience working integrating new business and merging acquisitions -Scripting: Powershell / VB scripting -Remote desktop services -Microsoft clustering -Identity and access management ASSETS: -ITAR certification (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) in the past (desirable) -Virtualization (VMWare; HyperV is an asset)
