Wood is recruiting a Rope Access Technician (Abseiler)- Offshore Adhoc (Casual /Temporary) to join its Operations team focusing on the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

This chance is offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, working on an as needed, call-out basis.

The Role Location: Offshore Newfoundland and Labrador Site / Office based: Hibernia Hours of work: 12 hours per day Rotation / work pattern: Call out, as needed Required: Site-specific medical, drug and alcohol testing Unionized position: Rates follow the Collective Bargaining Agreement You will be working in confined spaces and/or at heights, as well as noisy conditions.

Work may be indoors or outdoors, and at extreme temperatures.

Skills And Qualifications What makes you remarkable? Expected: IRATA rope access certification, Level I, II or III The following certifications or training would be considered an asset; Industrial Rescue Course, Confined Space Entry (CSE) and inspection of Climbing and Rescue Equipment Thorough knowledge of the IRATA Code of Practice,



TACS and expectations of reporting as they relate to rope access activities and incidents Knowledge of offshore processes and Permit to Work (PTW) systems Training Requirements: Basic Survival Training (BST) including HUET and HUEBA Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) Alive Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS 2015) Offshore Safety Regulatory Awareness NL Fall Protection NL Confined Space Entry High Angle Rescue.

Industrial Rescue from TRR website or Industrial rope rescue IRATA Rope Access Certification Rigging, Slinging & Banksman Standard First Aid Familiarity with using Windows-based applications as well as industry recognized Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (. SAP) Physical Requirements Must pass a site-specific drug and alcohol test, as required by the customer Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50lbs Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above Able to move and work in confined spaces, following proper protocol Will be required consistently to work 12hour shifts performing physical labour in varying temperature extremes and conditions.

Must be able to climb and maintain balance on stairs, ladders, scaffolds and steel framework, utilizing proper fall arrest procedures when required.

Able to safely and comfortably work at heights without posing a danger to oneself or others Able to meet physical requirements of frequent walking, climbing, standing, bending, twisting and crawling for the duration of the shift undefined
