Senior Technical Business Systems Analyst API & Application Delivery - Duration: 5 Months (Extensions Likely) Location: Toronto, London or Winnipeg (Hybrid, 3x/week) Overview: Discover/Scoping Working with the portfolio team and business partners, use intake, triage, and formalized discovery processes to define the problem/opportunity and expected business advantages for each target stakeholder group.

Working with the portfolio architect and business partners, gather and define enough high-level requirements to develop a high level system impact assessment, scoped solution, and business case.

Lead and orchestrate the overall analysis, scoping, estimating, and planning for large or complex initiatives Lead the elicitation and validation of business requirements affecting multiple products using various methods, techniques, and tools Planning Define detailed business requirements using waterfall or agile requirement gathering methodologies, functional and non-functional specifications for each work package to be assigned to dev/ops squads for detailed design, build and execution.

Help facilitate the assignment of work packages to dev/ops squads for prioritization and execution Execution & Operationalization Provide portfolio level support to squad BSAs, Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts during the detailed, design and build delivery phases.

Help facilitate the analysis between dev/ops squads if business scope, requirements and/or the solution evolves during the delivery lifecycle.





Work with dev/ops squad BSAs and quality assurance team members to ensure adequate testing and validate that the system meets business needs/expectations.

Lead and facilitate meetings, walkthroughs, workshops, and reviews of deliverables Contribute to training strategies and business implementation planning.

Help coordinate multi-squad development and delivery of training & support materials for affected stakeholders Must Haves: 7+ years as a Business Systems Analyst in a Technology delivery environment Comfortable in creating feature specification documents, understanding of APIs, JSON payload structures Experience supporting multiple development, QA and business teams throughout design, build, testing and implementation.

Experience working within an Agile Scrum and/or Kan Ban team Experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies.

Experience working with, or within, a financial services organization Experience leading discovery, scoping, system-impact assessments and requirements analysis for large, complex or multi-product initiatives.

Experience creating feature specifications, functional and non-functional requirements, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.

Experience analyzing APIs, JSON payloads, integrations, data flows and system dependencies.

Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for developers and communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
