Job Description Responsibilities: Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicleprimarily on the Dempster Highway from Whitehorse to Inuvik Ensure safe and timely delivery of cargo while adhering to all transportation regulations and company policies Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain truck safety and compliance Accurately complete and maintain all required documentation, including logbooks, inspection reports, and delivery receipts Navigate challenging road conditions, including gravel roads, ice roads, and mountain passes Manage load securement and weight distribution to ensure safe transport Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other drivers using various communication tools Perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting as needed Adapt to changing weather conditions and adjust driving techniques accordingly Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate varying delivery demands and potential delays Assist with loading and unloading cargo using equipment such as forklifts when necessary Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and the public Stay informed about road conditions, construction, and potential hazards along the route Maintain a clean and organized truck cabin and cargo area This is a full time position based out of Whitehorse, requiring flexibility in availability and the ability to be away from home for extended periods.

Qualifications Must live in Whitehorse Must own a tandem axle bunk truck,2018or newer Please provide specs and pictures Class 1 License 5 years of mountain experience Off-road experience is a major asset Forklift experience Must be able to provide a criminal record check, driver''s abstract, and 2 work-related references.
