What Youll Do Act as the go-to person for your team, providing guidance and organizational support Prepare/draft and revise correspondences and various court documents Serve and file court documents Manage legal document management systems and court filing platforms Schedule motions, examinations for discovery, pre-trials and trial dates, amongst other scheduling tasks Open, organize, and maintain client files Monitor procedural deadlines and manage reminder systems Open new client matters and manage related administrative processes Assist with file closing and archiving in accordance with firm policies Support billing activities, including preparation of accounts and docket review Manage calendars and coordinate and schedule meetings Maintain and update client contact information Assist with tracking business development activities Coordinate travel arrangements and registrations for conferences Leverage technology to service clients in an efficient and effective manner.
What You Bring A Legal Assistant or Office Administration Diploma with a minimum of five to seven years of administrative experience supporting multiple legal professionals in a litigation setting Experience dealing with the various levels of Ontario Courts and familiarity with relevant court documents, filings, the Rules of Civil Procedure, Case
Centre and OCPP, Commercial List matters, and Civil bookings Experience using Automated Civil Litigation (ACL) Strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Comfort working in fastpaced environments and within team settings Commitment to delivering exceptional client service Eagerness to expand knowledge and adopt new technologies Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power
Point,
