Interim Business Unit Controller Location: Toronto or Etobicoke, ON Work Model: Hybrid 2 days onsite Term: 6-month contract Position Overview Our client, a technology organization, is seeking an experienced Interim Business Unit Controller to support one of its core business units on an interim basis.

This role will take ownership of accounting activities for a specific line of business and provide leadership across close, reporting, revenue recognition, indirect tax, and day-to-day accounting operations.

This chance is ideal for a hands-on finance leader with strong IFRS knowledge, solid operational accounting experience, and the ability to work closely with both finance and business stakeholders in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities Lead accounting operations for a business unit, including oversight of general ledger activities, payables, receivables, invoicing, and close processes Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close requirements,



including balance sheet reviews, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis Apply IFRS guidance to technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition across multiple product and service offerings Oversee reporting deliverables and provide financial information to support business and finance leadership Support indirect tax coordination and ensure compliance with applicable reporting requirements Partner with FP& A and operational stakeholders to improve visibility into revenue, billing, and business performance Lead, coach, and support a team of both direct and indirect reports Drive process enhancements, strengthen internal controls, and support ongoing finance improvement initiatives Assist with audit support and other ad hoc projects as needed
