They are establishing their first Canadian office and are expecting exponential growth.

The Originator is responsible for originating, structuring and monitoring Export Finance, Trade Finance, Transaction Banking and Receivables Supply Chain Finance transactions for all Canadian clients worldwide in coordination with Coverage and IT teams in NY and globally.

The portfolio covered will also selectively include US based large corporations.

This is a senior, client-facing origination role responsible for generating, structuring, and executing trade and export finance mandates across the Canadian client base.

The Director leverages deep product knowledge and relationship management expertise to serve as both an expert banker and an advisor who provides customized financing solutions to address clients'' trade finance, working capital and strategic needs.

The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of originating complex transactions including ECA-backed structures, trade finance, supply chain finance programs, receivables purchase, structured commodity finance and will collaborate seamlessly with the global ITB hubs, coverage bankers, credit,



legal, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities: - Lead origination of transactions across the corporate client base, covering investment-grade and select sub-investment-grade clients for Canadian corporates and foreign clients with Canadian operations. - Develop and execute commercial plans, targeted pitches, and RFI/RFP responses designed to create C-suite level engagement; analyze clients'' financial strategies, trade flows, working capital cycles, and supply chain structures to identify and present bespoke ITB solutions. - Proactively prospect new clients in liaison with the Coverage team and deepen existing relationships to grow the team''s pipeline of mandates and overall NBI contribution. - Maintain and expand a robust market network; represent ITB at client meetings, industry forums (GTR, ICC, BAFT), and trade finance conferences to build the bank''s origination franchise in North America. - Coordinate with the global ITBs hubs in Paris, London, Hong Kong, Singapore etc to ensure coherent multi-geography client coverage and to leverage the bank''s full international footprint in cross-border mandates.



- Act as advisor and primary point of contact for clients throughout their trade finance lifecycle from initial structuring dialogue through implementation, monitoring, and renewal. - Structure and execute a wide range of ITB products, including: ECA-backed export finance loans letters of credit, standby LCs, performance bonds; supply chain finance programs, receivables finance, inventory finance. - Prepare and review term sheets, commitment letters and marketing materials to a high standard; ensure all submissions are tailored to the client''s strategic and financial context. - Lead or co-lead the internal approval process, coordinating with risk, legal, compliance, and middle office teams to deliver timely and well-structured credit papers. - Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and legal documentation directly with clients and external counsel, ensuring transaction profitability in line with the capital and return models. - Mentor and develop team members, providing hands-on deal coaching, feedback, and professional development guidance.
