A busy, well-established cardiology practice is seeking an experienced and professional full-time Clinical Assistant in Brampton and Bolton. The candidate must be willing and motivated to provide exceptional patient care both clinically & by creating an outstanding patient service experience for each and every patient visit. The candidate will be working with physicians and patients directly in a clinical setting.
Hours: 8AM - 4PM
Days: Monday- Friday at two nearby locations
The candidate will be responsible for but not limited to;
- Greeting, registering and triaging patients into exam rooms
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and preparing exam rooms before each patient.
- Taking vitals, weight, height
- Entering, updating medications.
- Performing ECG’s on patients
- Preparing and updating virtual charts for technicians and physicians. Scanning incoming documents into patient charts, and sending outgoing referrals and documents as needed
- Handling phone calls (150+ calls per day) and incoming faxes during non-clinic days in office.
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Have a deep understanding of medications, terminology and interactions
- Proficient in the use of Electronic Medical Records systems
- Team player with solid organizational skills in addition to time management
- Excellent work attendance, punctuality and reliability
- Fluent in English (the ability to speak other languages is beneficial)
Knowledge of medications and performing ECGs preferred.
- Completed a RPN (Registered Practical Nurse) diploma or equivalent, and have at least 3 year’s recent and related experience in a medical/specialist's office (i.e. in a hospital, clinic setting) or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
