Duties

- Prepare comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to negotiate pricing, scope of work, and contract terms that align with project budgets and timelines.
- Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and pricing strategies to ensure competitive yet profitable bids.
- Assist in project management tasks by tracking costs, updating estimates throughout the project lifecycle, and providing cost control insights.
- Review project plans and specifications thoroughly to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities early in the process.
- Maintain organized records of all estimating activities, correspondence,



and documentation for transparency and future reference.
- Stay current with industry trends, recent materials, construction techniques, and software tools to continually enhance estimating accuracy.

Requirements

- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and terminology.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is highly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of pricing strategies, negotiation skills, and project management principles within the construction industry.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Strong communication skills to effectively negotiate with vendors and collaborate across teams.
- Construction experience across various sectors is advantageous; a background in heavy civil or commercial projects is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills while managing multiple bids simultaneously.
