Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sign Fabricator with a background in manufacturing large-format traffic safety signs (both portable and fixed). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with reflective sheeting and aluminum substrates, producing durable, regulation-compliant signage for roadways, construction sites, and public infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate traffic safety signs according to municipal, provincial, and federal specifications .
- Apply reflective and high-intensity prismatic sheeting to aluminum blanks using industry-standard methods (e.g., laminators, squeegee application).
- Operate equipment such as plotters, cutters, shears, brake presses, and laminators for sign production.
- Accurately cut, prepare, and assemble aluminum panels for both portable and fixed signage.
- Read and interpret sign drawings, layouts, and client specifications.
- Ensure signs meet durability, reflectivity, and quality standards required for road and highway use.
- Maintain a safe and organized workshop workplace,
following all health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in sign fabrication, preferably with traffic or regulatory signs.
- Hands-on experience with reflective vinyl application on aluminum substrates.
- Familiarity with traffic sign standards and materials (reflective sheeting grades, aluminum thicknesses, anti-graffiti overlaminates).
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to lift and handle large sign panels and work with production equipment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
Assets (Nice to Have):
- Knowledge of CNC routing for custom sign shapes.
- Experience with digital printing and overlaminate application.
- Forklift certification or shop logistics background.

Pay: $20.41-$22.00 per hour
