The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for receiving, verifying, organizing, and shipping materials and equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records. This position plays an important role in supporting day-to-day shop operations and ensuring projects are completed efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming materials and verify against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Package, prepare, and schedule outgoing shipments.
- Maintain organization of warehouse, yard, and storage areas.
- Track inventory and perform regular inventory counts.
- Issue materials and consumables to shop personnel.
- Coordinate freight shipments and deliveries with suppliers and carriers.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
- Keep work areas clean and safe.
- Assist with general shop duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous shipping/receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Forklift certification is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing setting is an asset.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Schedule
Monday to Thursday
6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4 x 10-hour shifts)
Occasional overtime as required.
Pay: $27.00-$33.00 per hour
