We are currently seeking an experienced Journeyperson Mechanic to join our operation in Saskatoon.

SOUTHLAND is currently offering a $1,000 hiring bonus for Journeyperson Mechanics. This will be paid out following six months of continuous employment.

Key Responsibilities

- Ongoing maintenance/repair of buses
- Respond to breakdowns




- Work with shop management to maintain schedules and priorities
- Perform semi-annual Government Inspections
- Complete all documentation associated with mechanical repairs of equipment
- Supervision of apprentice mechanics
- Suggest areas for additional training and assist with training of apprentice mechanics

Requirements

- Journeyperson Ticket - Heavy Duty Mechanic
- 2 – 5 years of related experience desired
- Valid driver’s license (Class 2 or 3 ideal)
- Safety Inspection Certification through SGI desired
- Experience working with Prevost coaches considered an asset
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Computer proficiency
- Own hand tools

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$43.00 per hour
