This isn't your typical café job.

The Grind is the flagship café, smoothie bar, and test kitchen for VEGAIN Nutrition; a Vancouver-born, founder-led plant-based sports nutrition company. We're a startup, which means it's fast, it's vibrant, and no two days look the same. We know our regulars by name, and we're just as obsessed with great content as we are with great drinks.

We're looking for someone who can pull a clean shot and shoot a scroll-stopping Reel. We're new in town, and we're ready for people to hear about what we have going on.

What you'll do

- Prepare espresso drinks, smoothies, and café beverages
- Prepare and serve food items
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and food-safety standards
- Help with opening, closing, and general café duties
- Create engaging photo and video content for Instagram, TikTok, and beyond
- Capture the day-to-day and turn it into authentic UGC
- Pitch creative ideas for seasonal drinks, menu items, and content

What we're looking for





- Barista or café experience (preferred)
- Comfortable creating short-form social content (Instagram, TikTok, and/or Canva a real asset)
- Friendly, outgoing, and confident with customers
- Can multitask and stay sharp in a fast-paced space
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Bonus: interest in nutrition, health, and fitness. VEGAIN is a sports nutrition company, and you'll selling and interacting with our products daily.

The pay

$23/hr starting wage with option for increases after a 3-month probationary period.
