Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
As a Chef de Partie,
you will be responsible for running a designated section of the kitchen and reporting directly to the Sous Chef. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes within your specialty section
- Assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in menu creation, recipe development, and dish innovation
- Preparing and handling meat and fish
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Supporting food hygiene and sanitation practices
- Managing and training junior chefs and kitchen staff
- Monitoring portion control and minimizing waste
- Maintaining high standards of kitchen and food safety
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role
- Awareness of manual handling techniques
- Understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and chemical safety
- Proficient in using standard kitchen equipment and handling sharp/dangerous tools (e.g., knives)
- Competent English communication skills, both spoken and written
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and ability to run a section independently
- Capable of supervising and mentoring junior staff
- Proven ability to produce high-quality food across various kitchen sections
- Strong communication and team management skills
- High attention to detail and presentation
- Eagerness to develop personal and team skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and open to new ideas and processes
- Positive, qualified, and team-oriented attitude
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.64 per hour
