Cleaner / Janitorial Team Member

As a member of our team, you will:

- Help cultivate a workplace that values inclusion, innovation, productivity, and collaboration.
- Build positive relationships through clear, respectful, and transparent communication.
- Participate in all required training.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Sweep, dry mop, wash, and buff floors and stairwells using manual and powered cleaning equipment.
- Vacuum carpets and mats in offices and common areas. Spot clean daily and shampoo carpets as directed.
- Perform preventative maintenance on floor machines, vacuums, automatic scrubbers, and buffers.

Additional Site Responsibilities

- Empty garbage and recycling containers, replace liners, and transport waste to collection areas.
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, kitchens, and kitchenettes, including fixtures, appliances, mirrors, countertops, partitions, waste bins, and floors.
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, hand sanitizer, and other consumables.
- Spot clean walls, doors, kick plates,



and other surfaces to remove marks and smudges.
- Clean elevators where applicable.
- Report maintenance concerns such as clogged urinals, burnt-out lights, or other visible defects.
- Perform high dusting and wall washing.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- 1 year of commercial cleaning experience preferred. We are willing to train motivated candidates with no previous experience.
- WHMIS and BSW certificates are considered an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
- Able to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with pride in delivering excellent service.
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and tools.
- Experience using automatic floor scrubbers is an asset.
- Dependable with reliable transportation.
