The successful applicant will work in compliance with all relevant and applicable legislation and Hospital Policies and Procedures, will practice the Bluewater Health Standards of Performance Excellence and will fulfill their role within the Attendance Support Program parameters. The successful applicant will also possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and will have robust attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:
-Grade 12 graduate or equivalent required
-College Diploma in Medical or Office Administration preferred
Skill, Ability and Experience:
-Beginner level proficiency using the MS Office Suite of products required
-Accurate Computer keyboarding skills required
-Knowledge of Medical Terminology required
-Previous clerical experience in a medical setting preferred
-Recent experience as a Ward Clerk preferred
-Experience working with Staff Scheduling module and Collective Agreements preferred
-French Language Proficiency preferred
Principal Duties:
-Completes reception and clerical tasks applicable to the needs of the department
-Participates in unit/department and Hospital Quality Improvement initiatives
-Completes continuing education requirements as necessary
-Other related duties as assigned
Selection will be made on the basis of ability, experience and qualifications as per Article 11.04 of the SEIU Collective Agreement
