Qualicum Beach Inn is a boutique hotel centrally located on Vancouver Island next to the beautiful Strait of Georgia and near the heart of the quaint, picturesque town of Qualicum Beach. Qualicum Beach Inn is looking for a Guest Service Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate must display exceptional guest service skills to our valued guests. This is a seasonal position with the chance for a permanent position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests on arrival and departure in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
- Ensure reservations/inquiries are handled correctly and accurately
- Check-in and check-out guests using a PMS software
- Book reservations by phone and process reservations quickly with a high degree of accuracy
- Respond to emails effectively and quickly
- Be knowledgeable about different room types, current rates, amenities, services and all hotel procedures and promotions
- Ensure the security of all cash and property,
and maintain proper confidentiality of hotel and guest information
- Ensuring exact compliance with registration and departure procedures and completion of all documentation necessary
- General customer service, bellman, and front-end cleaning duties as required
Requirements:
- Excellent personal, presentation and communication skills
- Ability to listen and respond to guest needs
- A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
- Must be comfortable with computer programs and systems
- Expected to work shift work, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must to comfortable standing during shift, conducting property walks, going up-and-down stairs, helping guests with luggage
- Previous customer service experience is an asset but not required
- Microsoft suite applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) is an asset but not required
- Ability to work in basic housekeeping duties considered an asset but not required
