Mobile Tech Lab is seeking an electronic device repair technician for our Winnipeg locations.

Buy, activate, protect, trade-in, and repair your phone, tablet, computer, game console, and more 6 days a week at any of our locations in Manitoba. We offer same-day services and genuine parts; we also warranty our work.

What We Are Looking For:

Mobile Tech Lab is seeking an experienced Advanced Electronics Technician / Technician Trainee to join our growing team for a full-time/part-time position at our Winnipeg locations. The starting rate is $22 per hour plus commission, with quick advancement opportunities.

Job Duties:

- Repair electronic devices as they are entered in the queue.
- Communicate with front desk staff on the progress of repair tickets.
- Communicate with customers on the progress of repair tickets.
- Offer our products and services to customers.
- Intake arriving stock and organize as needed.
- Maintain a skilled demeanour at work and tidy working space.




- Explain technical concepts to colleagues and customers.
- Research repair techniques and stay up to date with known issues and new solutions.

Requirements:

- Knowledge of mobile devices, and other tech repair techniques.
- Smartphone or tablet repair: 5 years (preferred)
- Computer repair: 5 years (preferred)
- Game console repair: 5 years (preferred)
- Customer service: 2 years (preferred)
- Quickly diagnosing repair issues.
- Technicians need to communicate clearly and effectively in English with customers and other non-technical staff.
- Mobility is an asset, as technicians may be shuffled across our multiple locations.
- Ability to perform micro-soldering repairs.
- Ability to diagnose device issues and perform complex board-level troubleshooting.

Store Hours of Operation:

- 9 AM to 7 PM (Mon-Sat) and 12 PM to 7 PM (Sun).

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- cell phone repair: 1 year (required)
- console repair: 5 years (preferred)
- computer repair: 5 years (preferred)
- Customer service: 2 years (preferred)
- motherboard repair: 1 year (preferred)
- microsoldering: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

- English (required)
