- Perform light-duty truck and trailer repairs (lights, airlines, mudflaps, minor electrical, etc.).
- Schedule and transport equipment for:
- CVIPs
- Preventive maintenance
- Warranty repairs
- Tire appointments
- Specialty repairs
- Monitor ELD/HOS compliance and flag log violations.
- Assist with city cartage dispatch, including:
- Planning local deliveries and pickups
- Driver assignments
- Trailer swaps
- Customer ETA updates
- Helping when dispatch gets busy
- Keep maintenance records organized.
- Follow up on repairs to minimize downtime.
- Assist with yard organization and equipment readiness.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE a valid Class 1A licence.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to complete minor repairs.
- Transportation industry experience.
- Familiarity with ELD systems and Hours of Service.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and jump between shop, yard, and dispatch.
