Cabinet Maker Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, motivated Cabinet Maker Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the manufacturing and assembly of high-quality custom cabinetry and millwork. Working alongside experienced cabinet makers, you will help with all aspects of production while maintaining our high standards of craftsmanship, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Assist cabinet makers with the construction and assembly of custom cabinets and millwork.
- Operate and assist with the edge banding machine, ensuring finished parts meet quality standards.
- Prepare materials for production, including cutting, sanding, edging, drilling, and cleaning components.
- Load, unload, and organize sheet goods, lumber, hardware, and other shop materials.
- Assist with cabinet assembly, hardware installation, and preparation for finishing or delivery.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment under supervision.
- Move materials and completed cabinets throughout the shop and assist with loading delivery vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform general shop maintenance and other duties as assigned.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in cabinet making,



woodworking, or manufacturing is an asset but not required.
- Experience operating an edgebander is an asset; training will be provided.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license is considered an asset.
