Our client is looking for an Agricultural Equipment Mechanic to join their team in Stratford, PEI. The company specializes in servicing and repairing agricultural equipment, providing essential support to customers and dealers.
The Agricultural Equipment Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining farm machinery, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair agricultural equipment, including Precision Ag products, using advanced testing tools.
- Identify faults or malfunctions in machinery and perform necessary repairs.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets performance standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments.
- Assist in attaching components and adjusting new farm equipment as needed.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Stay updated on John Deere and competitive products to provide informed service.
- Maintain vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
- Complete required reports and forms accurately.
- Collaborate with other departments as directed by the Service Manager.

Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in service repairs, preferably in agricultural or heavy equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Diesel Mechanic Red Seal certification or equivalent apprenticeship is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Forklift license is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in agricultural and turf equipment.
- Ability to perform repairs and maintenance using specialized tools and equipment.
- Basic computer proficiency for diagnostic and reporting tasks.
- Ability to operate diagnostic vehicles and equipment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks.
