Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or baked goods to meet quality standards
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) system for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing inquiries promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and safety protocols
- Manage cash register operations, including cash handling, basic math calculations, and balancing tills at shift end
- Follow food safety standards diligently to ensure a hygienic environment for both staff and customers
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred but not required
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and transparent communication abilities
- Knowledge of food handling safety procedures and basic math for cash transactions
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
