Our client, a well-established industrial organization located in the East End, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Accounts Receivable / Collections Clerk for a three-month contract opportunity. This role has been created to assist the team in addressing a backlog of accounts and ensuring outstanding balances are brought up to date.

We are looking for a high-energy individual who is confident, proactive, and comfortable making outbound calls.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

- Proactively following up with customers regarding overdue accounts to ensure outstanding balances are resolved (60 to 90 days)
- Addressing customer inquiries and concerns, and escalating matters to the appropriate department in a timely manner
- Processing account closures, ensuring any remaining balances are settled, credited, or referred to Collections as needed
- Contacting customers about upcoming past-due balances and issuing suspension notices when required
- Performs other accounting duties as requested by the Controller

Required skills and qualifications:

- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role (Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Accounting Clerk)
- Post-secondary diploma or degree preferred, ideally with coursework in Accounting
- Comfortable handling difficult or sensitive conversations professionally




- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities
- Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Wage: $21.63 – $24.04 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday – 8:00am – 4:00pm
