TITLE: Licensed Practical Nurse

FTE: 1.0 Full-Time and Casual

PROGRAM: Blood Tribe Iitakamotsiipiohsopi Recovery Community (Cardston, AB)

REPORTS TO: Program Manager

SUMMARY OF WORK:

Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to individuals undergoing addiction treatment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the LPN will contribute to the overall well-being and recovery of our clients by administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing compassionate support.

SKILLED & PERSONAL QUALITIES:

- Graduation from an accredited LPN program and current license with the College for Alberta's Licensed Practical Nurses (CLHA) as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Previous experience working in addiction treatment or behavioral health settings is preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to recognize signs and symptoms of substance use disorders, withdrawal syndromes, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to caring for individuals with substance abuse disorders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.




- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and confidentiality.

SALARY RANGE:

- In accordance with the Blood Tribe Department of Health Inc. salary grid.
