About Us

Canada Keli New Technology Development Ltd. is an Alberta-based oil and gas service company specializing in chemical solutions, construction service, maintenance services, and workforce support for major operators. We are seeking a motivated Contract Estimator to support our construction project in cost estimating, cost engineering, and project cost control.

Key Responsibilities

- Review client-issued working packages, drawings, and specifications to define the Scope of Work (SOW) and develop accurate quantity take-offs.
- Prepare cost estimates by analyzing material quantities, labor requirements, equipment needs, and third-party services in support of oilfield construction and module execution.
- Develop man-hour estimates using productivity norms, historical cost data, and project-specific assumptions, informed by oilfield piping and modular construction practices.
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines to prepare and validate Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and ensure alignment with estimating assumptions.
- Identify and engage third-party service vendors to support cost input development and subcontract pricing.
- Interface with clients to resolve scope clarifications, technical queries, and cost-related assumptions.
- Estimate required construction equipment and resource utilization durations for oilfield piping and modular construction scopes.
- Support cost control activities during project execution through shop and field visits, including progress tracking, quantity verification, and productivity validation.




- Apply practical field construction knowledge to improve estimate accuracy and support constructability and cost-risk assessments

Qualifications and Skills

- 15+ year proven experience in oilfield construction, with hands-on exposure to piping and/or modular construction in shop and field environments.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, installation methods, and productivity drivers for oilfield pipeline and modular projects.
- 10+ years experience supporting cost estimating and cost control activities for oil & gas or EPC projects.

Education Requirements

· Diploma or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical discipline

· An equivalent combination of education and extensive relevant industry experience will be considered

Certificates & Additional Requirements

· Professional certifications such as AACE (CCP), PMP, or Gold Seal Estimator (GSC) are considered assets

· Strong knowledge of oilfield construction estimating practices, including piping and modular construction

· Proficiency with cost estimating tools, spreadsheets, and project controls systems

· Ability to travel to shop and field locations as required

· Strong communication skills to interface with engineering teams, vendors, and clients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Calgary, AB T2P 2Y5
