Operations Manager – Langley SuperCentre

Reports To: General Manager
Works Closely With: Division Managers (Kirmac, Reborn, Fleet St)
Location: Unit 2 - 20146 100A Ave, Langley, BC
Employment Type: Full time | Exempt | Temporary Maternity Leave Coverage
Position Term: This is a temporary position to provide maternity leave coverage. The anticipated term of employment will end on January 31, 2028, and may be extended based on business needs or changes to the leave period.

Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day operational execution within the SuperCentre, ensuring maximum efficiency, productivity, and profitability across all brands operating within the facility.

This role provides direct team leadership and cross-functional coordination between production departments, shared services, and divisional leadership. The Operations Manager ensures the SuperCentre operates as a unified, high-performance production system while supporting Division Managers in achieving brand-level objectives.

Core Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Accountability
Provide direct leadership to assigned production teams and operational staff

- Set daily operational expectations and performance standards




- Support workforce planning in collaboration with Division Managers and HR
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence
- Address performance issues in partnership with Division Managers

Cross-Functional Coordination

Act as the central operational liaison between:

- Body
- Paint
- Detail
- Parts
- PPF
- Cleaning
- Mechanical

Responsibilities include:

- Aligning production schedules across departments
- Ensuring smooth handoffs between operational stages
- Resolving workflow conflicts
- Coordinating shared infrastructure usage (paint booths, frame racks, stalls)
- Supporting divisional alignment within one unified facility

Production Flow & Throughput Management

- Participate in daily production meetings
- Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) levels
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks
- Balance labour and workload distribution
- Improve cycle time and touch time
- Increase stall and booth utilization
- Reduce downtime and idle capacity

Efficiency & Profitability Optimization

- Improve labour efficiency and productivity metrics
- Reduce rework and operational waste
- Monitor parts-to-labour ratios
- Protect margins through disciplined, high-quality execution
- Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities
- Provide performance insights to the General Manager

Process Governance & Continuous Improvement

- Enforce Standard Operating Procedures
- Lead operational audits and workflow reviews
- Implement lean production practices where applicable
- Standardize production meeting cadence and reporting
- Drive measurable operational improvements





Performance Metrics

The Operations Manager will be measured on:

- Facility cycle time
- Labour efficiency %
- Stall and booth utilization rates
- Cleanliness
- Quality / Customer Service (NPS)
- Contribution to overall profitability

Scope

- Has operational authority over daily production flow within the facility
- Leads assigned operational teams directly
- Works collaboratively with Division Managers on resource allocation and execution alignment
- Escalates strategic or brand-level conflicts to the General Manager

Qualifications

- 5+ years in manufacturing, automotive or other high-volume production leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of production flow, blueprinting, and KPI management
- Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Financial literacy related to labour efficiency and gross margin drivers

Base Salary: $110,000 – $125,000
Performance Bonus: Yes, based on certain KPI metrics
